Building Stronger Kenyan Communities
Uniting voices to reduce alcohol harm and foster resilience
Our Story
The founding members of Kenya Sober Communities & Resilience Alliance (K-SCRA) established this organization recognizing alcohol's devastating impact on Kenyan families, youth, roads, churches, and communities—from family breakdown and lost productivity to unsafe matatu routes and vulnerable neighborhoods.
K-SCRA exists to create sober, resilient communities through:
Sobernacle – Church-based sobriety forums
SoberLife Academy – 6-week community recovery programs
County alcohol policy advocacy
Digital engagement via WhatsApp communities
Faith-sensitive partnerships
Guided by community voice, evidence-based action, and accountable leadership, we mobilize churches, youth groups, women's chamas, and matatu SACCOs to build neighborhoods where families thrive, youth have futures, and communities reclaim their strength.
From Kariobangi to Kitale, from Mombasa to Mandera – K-SCRA works so that every Kenyan home knows sober freedom.
